Bonjour people!
Throughout my journey in 2011, those experiences are really eye-opening. My eyes become more open to reality and truth. Reality hurts. Truth breaks you apart. Eyes realize. Eyes perceive everything that takes place.
God's grace throughout 2011 has taught me not to depend on people. Regardless of their status, knowledge, talents, gifts, wealth, and relationship, people will always fail you once in your lifetime. It's hard to be faithful to someone out there. People can tear you apart, and at the same time, another kind-hearted man lifts you up. You want to stay faithful to the former one? You will think at least twice. Being hurt is painful, but it is inevitable.
Your family members hurt you. Your relatives do. Your spiritual family does. Your boyfriend does. Your girlfriend does. Your husband does. Your wife does. Everyone does. Me too.
When you're hurt, do you:
- Step back and recall your personal principalities?
- To opt for forgiveness than revenge?
- Stay calm than giving pissed-off face expression?
- Ask for God's grace to help you to get out from this reality?
- Remember that no one is perfect?
- Remind yourself about the promise that you will stay faithful regardless of any situation?
- Hug back and be merciful?
- Love despite of the deep scar?
- Most importantly, do you tell the person that you're hurt last time?
Grace abounds much more than sins.
Love covers a multitude of sins.
Love doesn't count mistakes.
Love is sincere.
Love is the bond of perfection.
If you're looking for another person to lean on after being hurt by somebody else, you will not make a relationship works. It's just a matter of time. Everyone has different sense of sensibility. Not everyone has the same mindset. Conflict is meant to arise. Problem is meant to be faced. Bitterness is not meant to be hold. Saying those sentences are easy, a piece of cake. Believe me, when you're more merciful, you're a more loving person.
In the middle of the journey, you might lose your identity. You might be consumed by negative feeling. You might lose your direction. You might forget that the one whom you love is imperfect. You might forget a simple thing as grace and mercy. Remember, when a kind-hearted soul lifts you up, that wonderful soul is not a place to throw in your resentment and tantrum. That surprising soul is a reminder from God that people are not perfect. That awesome soul lifts you up; he provides your emotional needs; he comforts your fearful heart; he erased all your bitterness. Be thankful that God is good all the time. Be grateful that you're close to that kind-hearted soul. Rejoice that you're cleansed. Be happy and move on.
Move-on means that you reconcile back to the person. Forgive and forget. Forgive just as how our Father in Heaven forgives us. He forgives and forgets. Retain back the perfect relationship which is used to be. No more looking back. No more reminiscing of past mistake. Move on as the future awaits.
Give thanks for reconciliation :)
Be grateful :)
Be thankful :)
and everything will be better than ever.
2011.
I started this year with love. The first wonderful verse that really touches my heart is 1 Corinthians 13:13. In the middle of journey, I forgot what 1 Corinthians 13:13 means. Before ending 2011, I am reminded back that no one is perfect, including my crush.
I love you there :)
Thank you Jesus for this revelation.
faith, hope, love,
Irene, xxx
